Fully funded undergraduate scholarships for outstanding Emirati graduates to specialise in Journalism, Digital Production and Storytelling, Media and Communication, or Game Design and Development at AUD's Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Communication

About the Scholarship

In partnership with the Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Communication at the American University in Dubai (AUD), the Dubai Media Council offers fully funded undergraduate scholarships for outstanding Emirati high school graduates to pursue specialist study in media and communications. Now in its fourth academic cycle (2026–2027), the scholarship covers the following specialisations:

  • Journalism

  • Digital Production and Storytelling

  • Media and Communication

  • Game Design and Development

Eligibility Criteria

  • Emirati National majoring in either Game Design and Development, or Communication and Information Studies 

  • High school applicants should have an academic average in line with the American University in Dubai's (AUD) approved admission criteria

  • Sit for a qualifying interview conducted by a member of the MBRSC Scholarships Committee 

  • Creative portfolio submission required

  • Students are required until graduation to contribute by volunteering 40 hours per semester toward outside the classroom learning activities

What the Scholarship Covers

  • The scholarship entitles the recipient to a waiver until graduation

  • Potential employment opportunities

Required Documents

  • High school records

  • Salary certificate for father and mother

  • Creative portfolio prior to filling the undergraduate scholarship application
